Edgar Pavel Salazar Fernandez

Pavel Salazar-Fernández is a biotechnologist with experience in bioinformatics applied to human population genomics.

He holds a degree in Biotechnology Genomics from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (UANL) and a masters degree on Integrative Biology from the National Laboratory for Genomic Biodiversity (LANGEBIO), a unit of the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV) of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN). He has been involved in research about characterization of Polynesian human populations, ancient DNA, ancestry analyses, and genomic selection signals in Mexican Indigenous populations.

Pavel comes from the Mexican Northern city of Chihuahua and his hobbies include board games and role-playing games (RPGs).
